State of Georgia Law Library

The State of Georgia Law Library is a division of the Department of Law and is under the supervision of the Attorney General as codified in O.C.G.A. § 50-11-2. Our mission is to provide access to legal information to the Department of Law, governmental agencies, the legal community, citizens of Georgia, and all others interested in Georgia laws.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 36-80-19, the State Law Library is the official repository of the general codifications of ordinances and resolutions of Georgia municipalities and counties.
